What is the design process like at Beyond the Box?

Consult

We discuss your project and provide a price estimate under no obligation. We invite you to take advantage of our years of experience to explore the possibilities for your space.

Design

Once we have all the necessary information, we can provide a formal proposal with detailed costs and a timetable. If you are ready to move ahead with the project, we request 10% of the payment to lock a slot in our calendar. We then schedule a follow-up to explore the creation of your unique design and discuss the particulars of your project.

Order

We present 3D rendering drawings, photos, and/or sample materials. When you are happy with the final design, we are ready to order.

Delivery & Installation

All installation is done by trained craftsmen who make sure installation is done precisely.

What choices will
impact the cost the most?

While every selection will impact the overall cost, we have found that construction related costs due to design changes (i.e. moving your sink to an island, or removing a dropped ceiling) will have the largest impact.

Several cabinetry related factors will impact the cost as well. Wood specie selection (cherry, maple, etc.), door style (shaker, raised panel, etc.) and finish options (glazed, paint, etc.) can dramatically change the increase or decrease in cost.

Throughout the process, we are available to answer any questions you may have.
