When she's not working, you can find her on one of the many rivers in Montana, embracing the adventure and beauty of the outdoors.

Experienced closet designer with more than 20 years in the industry. Anita is familiar with working within all budgets and making dream closets, pantries, and garages a reality. Anita likes solving organizational issues and prides herself in creating long term relationships with clients and builders alike. She spends her spare time with her family and friends, camping, kayaking, and skiing.

With more than 15 years’ experience in dynamic designs, extensive continued product knowledge, 2020 Design, and strategic application of creative concepts. Committed to efficiently allocating cognitive resources to achieve thoroughness and accuracy with every project immersed into. Emily spends her free time outdoors with her friends and family.

Shawn brings over 20 years of design expertise to Beyond The Box, with a diverse background that spans commercial spaces, luxury resorts, and high-end celebrity homes. His creative vision is backed by deep technical knowledge and a passion for thoughtful, functional design. He is proficient in industry-leading software including 2020 Design, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, Graphite, AutoCAD, and Mozaik; enabling him to deliver precise, innovative solutions for every project. Outside of work, Shawn enjoys woodworking, practicing martial arts, kayaking, rock hounding, and spending quality time with his family along the Yellowstone River.

Teri brings over 20 years of kitchen design and sales experience to Beyond the Box. Known for her warm approach and strong client relationships, she creates beautiful, functional spaces that reflect each homeowner’s lifestyle. Her background spans showroom design, custom kitchen planning, and running her own successful business, giving her a deep understanding of both design and customer service. Teri loves helping clients feel confident and inspired throughout their project. In her free time, she most enjoys outdoor adventures, nights spent around the campfire, and cooking amazing meals for family and friends.

Olivia Black is a Design Associate at Beyond The Box, bringing fresh perspective and thoughtful detail to every project she touches. A graduate of Montana State University’s Interior Design program and the 2025 Montana Registered Apprenticeship Program, Olivia blends technical training with a naturally refined sense of style. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and infectious energy make her a favorite among clients and team members alike. Whether guiding material selections or supporting the design process, Olivia ensures each project is both seamless and enjoyable.

Amanda Kelly

Amanda blends creativity, organization, and thoughtful problem-solving to help clients design spaces that truly work for them. With experience in residential design, space planning, and custom organization systems, she excels at maximizing functionality and flow. She is detail-oriented, client-focused, and passionate about creating efficient, beautiful solutions. Outside of design, Amanda is active in the Billings community, most recently leading a drive to raise funds for lighting for our local Skatepark.

With over 16 years of hands-on experience, Tom brings exceptional craftsmanship and creativity to every project at Beyond The Box. Known for transforming client ideas and photos into beautifully functional custom cabinetry and trim work, Tom’s background spans residential builds, light commercial projects, and full-scope remodels. He even built his own home from the ground up. From woodworking to welding, his skill set is as versatile as it is precise. Tom is committed to quality, problem-solving, and delivering lasting results.

Debbie Ferguson

Beyond The Box founder, and Kitchen and Bath Designer, Debbie excelled in traditional, transitional, and craftsman projects throughout her career. She was known for curating dynamic designs through SketchUp, 2020 Design, and an ever-expanding knowledge of products and trends, applying creative concepts with precision and artistry. Her devotion to composing intricate plans and transforming them into uniquely crafted spaces left a lasting mark on countless homes and clients.

Now enjoying retirement, Debbie spends her time camping, boating, and wakeboarding with her family, embracing the same passion for adventure and joy she brought to her design work.
