The Design Is In The Details

“The details are not the details. They make the design.” Charles Eames

When one looks at the photos of this project, they see another white kitchen. I see the clients needs listened to and brought to life; I see forethought and attention to detail; I see passion about helping create a space that is unique and right for them.

One of the biggest details in this home is the thickness of the countertops. Yes this makes its own statement and looks super cool BUT it is a function item as well. The clients are tall and wanted the additional height to reduce the strain on their body when chopping vegetables or other daily tasks.

Ergonomics- an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely.
