For Wendy, this project was never really about tile and cabinets. It was about finally loving her bathroom and shower.

For years, Wendy started and ended her day in a bathroom she’d learned to tolerate rather than enjoy. Dark, closed in, and outdated, it wasn’t a space that made her feel good. When she booked a consultation with us online, what she was really asking for was a fresh start.

Most first meetings happen in our design studio, but Wendy had a lot she wanted us to see and understand about her home. So, we went to her instead, with her two very good dogs greeting us at the door and walked the space together while we listened.

What she wanted was simple to say and harder to picture: bright, open, and spa-like. A place she could walk into and immediately feel calmer. She was clear about one thing above everything else. As little grout as possible in the shower. She’d spent enough years scrubbing grout lines, and she lit up at the idea of slab shower walls the moment we brought it up.

From there, our job was to narrow the world of options down to a handful of great ones. We brought Wendy curated choices in cabinets, tile, plumbing, and lighting, and talked through what daily life with each one would actually feel like: easy mornings, easy cleaning, easy living. Wendy asked thoughtful questions and trusted us with the answers, which let the process move quickly without ever feeling rushed.

She fell completely for a circular tile for the shower floor, enough that we paused the whole timeline to wait for it. When that same tile ran into repeated backorders, Wendy didn’t flinch. She trusted our new recommendation, and the herringbone floor turned out just as beautiful.

The quartz shower asked even more of her patience. Work like this happens in careful stages. One piece goes in, we template for the next, and we wait. Wendy was great through every round, never losing sight of what she was working toward.

Beautiful design only goes as far as the hands that bring it to life. We handled the design and the materials, and a great contractor partner handled the installation. That kind of collaboration is what turns a plan on paper into a bathroom Wendy actually gets to live in.

Now, the space Wendy once avoided is the one she looks forward to every day. Light where there was dark. Open where there was closed in. Grout kept to a minimum, exactly as she asked. It’s the kind of bathroom that changes how a morning feels before it even starts.
